Now therefore thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, concerning this city, whereof you say, It is given into the hand of the king of Bavel by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence:

and they shall be my people, and I will be their God:

For thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Yehudah, which are broken down [to make a defense] against the mounds and against the sword;

Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Go, and speak to Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, and tell him, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Bavel, and he shall burn it with fire:

Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the house of bondage, saying,

and I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Yigdalyahu, the man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Ma`aseyah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold.

Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Yisra'el: Go, and tell the men of Yehudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words? says the LORD.

therefore thus says the LORD, the God Tzva'ot,, the God of Yisra'el: Behold, I will bring on Yehudah and on all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.

Yirmeyahu said to the house of the Rechavim, Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Yisra'el: Because you have obeyed the mitzvah of Yehonadav your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you;

therefore thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Yisra'el: Yehonadav the son of Rechav shall not want a man to stand before me forever.

Tzidkiyahu the king sent Yehukhal the son of Shelemyahu, and Tzefanyah the son of Ma`aseyah, the Kohen, to the prophet Yirmeyahu, saying, Pray now to the LORD our God for us.

Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, Thus shall you tell the king of Yehudah, who sent you to me to inquire of me: Behold, Par`oh's army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Mitzrayim into their own land.

Then said Yirmeyahu to Tzidkiyahu, Thus says the LORD, the God Tzva'ot,, the God of Yisra'el: If you will go forth to the king of Bavel's princes, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and you shall live, and your house.

Go, and speak to `Eved-Melekh the Kushite, saying, Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Yisra'el: Behold, I will bring my words on this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before you in that day.

The captain of the guard took Yirmeyahu, and said to him, the LORD your God pronounced this evil on this place;

and said to Yirmeyahu the prophet, Let, we pray you, our supplication be presented before you, and pray for us to the LORD your God, even for all this remnant; for we are left but a few of many, as your eyes do see us:

that the LORD your God may show us the way in which we should walk, and the thing that we should do.

Then Yirmeyahu the prophet said to them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray to the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall happen that whatever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it to you; I will keep nothing back from you.

Then they said to Yirmeyahu, the LORD be a true and faithful witness among us, if we don't do according to all the word with which the LORD your God shall send you to us.

Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send you; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
