from mortals—by your hand, O Lord — from mortals whose portion in life is in this world. May their bellies be filled with what you have stored up for them; may their children have more than enough; may they leave something over to their little ones.

You will destroy their offspring from the earth, and their children from among humankind.

They will abide in prosperity, and their children shall possess the land.

Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord .

I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

They are ever giving liberally and lending, and their children become a blessing.

For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his faithful ones. The righteous shall be kept safe forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

I have become a stranger to my kindred, an alien to my mother's children.

the children of his servants shall inherit it, and those who love his name shall live in it.

If I had said, "I will talk on in this way," I would have been untrue to the circle of your children.

We will not hide them from their children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord , and his might, and the wonders that he has done.

He established a decree in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their children;

that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and rise up and tell them to their children,

If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my ordinances,

Let your work be manifest to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.

The children of your servants shall live secure; their offspring shall be established in your presence.

As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him.

But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,
