But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

Rather, as it is written,Isaiah 52:15;">[xr] "Those who were never told about him will see, and those who have never heard will understand."Isaiah 52:15">[fn]

Now that I am on my way to Spain, I hope to see you when I come your way and, after I have enjoyed your company for a while, to be sent on by you.Acts 15:3;">[xr]

But you must see to it that this right of yours does not become a stumbling block to the weak.Romans 14:13,20; Galatians 5:13;">[xr]

See what great earnestness godly sorrow has produced in you! How ready you are to clear yourselves, how indignant, how alarmed, how full of longing and enthusiasm, how eager to seek justice! In every way you have demonstrated that you are innocent in this matter.

Keep examining yourselves to see whether you are continuing in the faith. Test yourselves! You know, do not you, that Jesus Christ lives in you? Could it be that you are failing the test?Romans 8:10; 1 Corinthians 9:27; 11:28; Galatians 4:19;">[xr]
