And do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones!

Now after he was baptized, Jesus immediately went up from the water, and behold, the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove coming upon him.

And the tempter approached and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, order that these stones become bread."

But he answered and said, "It is written, ‘Man will not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God."

and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down! For it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,' and ‘On their hands they will lift you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus said to him, "On the other hand it is written, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.'"

Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve only him.'"

Blessed are the pure in heart, because they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called sons of God.

But I say to you, do not swear at all, either by heaven, because it is the throne of God,

"No one is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You are not able to serve God and money.

But if God dresses the grass of the field in this way, although it is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not do so much more for you, you of little faith?

And behold, they cried out, saying, "What do you have to do with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?"

But when the crowds saw this, they were afraid and glorified God who had given such authority to men.

how he entered into the house of God and ate the bread of the presentation, which it was not permitted for him or for those with him to eat, but only for the priests?

But if I expel demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you!

So those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God!"

So he answered and said to them, "Why do you also break the commandment of God because of your tradition?

For God said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,' and ‘The one who speaks evil of father or mother must certainly die.'

But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or his mother, "Whatever benefit you would have received from me is a gift to God,"
