And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our God, or else he will fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.

And the number of the bricks, which they made before, you shall lay on them; you shall not diminish anything thereof: for they are idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

Let heavier work be laid on the men, that they may labor at it; and don't let them regard lying words.

And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus says Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

There is no straw given to your slaves, and they say to us, Make bricks: and, look, your slaves are beaten; and your people will be guilty.

And the officers of the sons of Israel saw that they were in trouble, when it was said, You shall not diminish anything from your bricks, [your] daily tasks.

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

and they said to them, Yahweh look at you, and judge: because you have made our savor to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his slaves, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they sojourned.

And Moses so spoke to the sons of Israel: but they didn't listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel slavery.

And Moses and Aaron did so; as Yahweh commanded them, so they did.

And Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.

And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as Yahweh had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his slaves, and it became a serpent.

For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

And you shall say to him, Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, look, so far you haven't listened.

Thus says Yahweh, In this you shall know that I am Yahweh: look, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

And Yahweh said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.

And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.

And Yahweh spoke to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus says Yahweh, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Entreat Yahweh, that he take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may sacrifice to Yahweh.
