And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's mouth.

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their donkeys.

[And] when they were gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, Get up, follow after the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, Why have you rewarded evil for good?

And they said to him, Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your slaves that they should do such a thing.

Then they hurried, and took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.

Then they rent their clothes, and loaded every man his donkey, and returned to the city.

And Judah and his brothers came to Joseph's house; and he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.

And Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph; does my father yet live? And his brothers could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

So he sent his brothers away, and they departed: and he said to them, See that you don't fall out by the way.

And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan to Jacob their father.

And they told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt. And his heart fainted, for he didn't believe them.

And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:

And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

Jacob sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph, to show Joseph the way to [them in] Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brothers, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, have come out of the land of Canaan; and, look, they are in the land of Goshen.

And Pharaoh said to his brothers, What is your occupation? And they said to Pharaoh, Your slaves are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.

And they said to Pharaoh, To sojourn in the land we have come; for there is no pasture for your slaves' flocks; for the famine is intense in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray you, let your slaves dwell in the land of Goshen.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, They may dwell in the land of Goshen. And if you know that there are among them capable men, put them in charge of my herds. And Jacob and his sons came to Egypt to Joseph, and Pharaoh the king of Egypt heard it. And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Your father and your brothers have come to you.
