Jesus replied, and said to him: Verily, verily, I say to thee, That, unless a man be born anew, he cannot behold the kingdom of God.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, should not perish, but should have life eternal.

For God sent not his Son into the world, to condemn the world; but that the world might live by means of him.

He that believeth on him is not condemned; but he that believeth not, is already condemned; because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

But he that doeth right, cometh to the light, that his works may be known to be done in God.

But he that receiveth his testimony, hath set his seal, that God is true.

For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God; for God hath not given the Spirit by measure [fn] .

He that believeth on the Son, hath life eternal; but he who obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life. but the wrath of God will abide upon him.

Jesus replied and said to her: If thou hadst known the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living waters.

For God is a Spirit; and they that worship him, should worship in spirit and in truth.

And for this, the Jews sought the more to kill him, not only because he had broken the sabbath, but because he had said of God, that he was his Father, and had equalled himself with God.

Verily, verily, I say to you, That the hour cometh, and even now come, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear, will live.

But I know you, that the love of God is not in you.

How can ye believe, who receive glory from one another, and seek not the glory which cometh from God only?

Labor not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that abideth unto life eternal, which the Son of man will give to you; for him hath God the Father sealed.

They said to him: What shall we do, in order to work the works of God?

Jesus replied and said to them: This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

For the bread of God is, he that came down from heaven, and giveth life to the world.

For it is written, in the prophet: And they shall all be taught of God. Whoever, therefore, heareth from the Father, and learneth from him, cometh to me.
