and I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

And Yahweh said to Moses, See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.

And you shall say to him, Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, look, so far you haven't listened.

And he said, For tomorrow. And he said, Let it be according to your word; that you may know that there is none like Yahweh our God.

Then the sacred scholars said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as Yahweh had spoken.

And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go, sacrifice to your God in the land.

And Moses said, It is not right to do so; for we shall sacrifice something disgusting of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God: look, if we shall sacrifice something disgusting of the Egyptians before their eyes, then will they not stone us?

We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Yahweh our God, as he shall command us.

And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: entreat for me.

Then Yahweh said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

And Yahweh said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

But as for you and your slaves, I know that you will not yet fear Yahweh God.

And Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

And Pharaoh's slaves said to him, How long shall this man be a snare to us? let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh their God: Don't you know yet that Egypt is destroyed?

And Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go, serve Yahweh your God; but who are those that shall go?

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in a hurry; and he said, I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.

Now therefore forgive, I pray you, my sin only this once, and entreat Yahweh your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

And Moses said, You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt-offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.

Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not be a hoof left behind: for thereof must we take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don't know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God didn't lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Or else perhaps the people will repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
