The Pharisee stood and was praying these things to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'

But Jesus called for them, saying, "Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."

And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone.

And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!

For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

But He said, "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God."

And He said to them, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God. And when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

Now while they were listening to these things, Jesus went on to tell a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and they thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear immediately.

Now as soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God, rejoicing with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,

And they questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, we know that You speak and teach correctly, and You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth.

And He said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."

For they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed in the passage about the burning bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live to Him."

So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes."
