For God loved

The one who has accepted his testimony has affirmed that God is true.

For the one whom God sent speaks God’s words, since he gives the Spirit without measure.

The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who rejects the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God,

God is spirit,

This is why the Jews began trying all the more to kill him: Not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

but I know you—that you have no love for God

“What can we do to perform the works of God?” they asked.

For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

We have come to believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.”

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me,

The one who is from God listens to God’s words. This is why you don’t listen, because you are not from God.”

Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, because he doesn’t keep the Sabbath.” But others were saying, “How can a sinful man perform such signs?” And there was a division among them.
