But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

When He came in, He said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping."

And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying.

But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.

But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house."

but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

But when Herod heard, he said, "This is John, whom I beheaded; he has been raised from the dead!"

Therefore Herodias held it against him and wanted to kill him, but she could not;

But the multitudes [fn] saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him.

But He answered and said to them, "You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?"

But He said to them, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." And when they found out they said, "Five, and two fish."

for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid."

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"

He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: "This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

But you say, "If a man says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban"--' (that is, a gift to God),

There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.

because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?" [fn]

From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. [fn] And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden.

But Jesus said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."

Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it.
