But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. And their voices prevailed.

And he released him that for insurrection and murder had been cast into prison, whom they asked for; but Jesus he delivered up to their will.

But Jesus turning to them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, Do you not even fear God, seeing you are in the same condemnation?

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man has done nothing amiss.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you when he was yet in Galilee,

But Peter arose, and ran to the tomb; and stooping and looking in, he sees the linen cloths by themselves; and he departed to his home, wondering at that which came to pass.

But their eyes were held that they should not know him.

But we hoped that it was he who should redeem Israel. Yes and besides all these things, this is now the third day since these things came to pass.

And certain of those that were with us went to the tomb, and found it even so as the women had said: but they didn't see him.

But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they saw a spirit.

And look, I send the promise of my Father on you: but you tarry in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high.

He was not the light, but [came] that he might bear witness of the light.

But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, [even] to those that believe on his name:

who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And I didn't know him; but that he should be made manifest to Israel, for this cause I came baptizing in water.

And I didn't know him: but he that sent me to baptize in water, he said to me, On whoever you shall see the Spirit descending, and abiding on him, the same is he that baptizes in the Holy Spirit.

And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn't know from where it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calls the bridegroom,

But he spoke of the temple of his body.
