saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You shall see to it yourself!"

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and to put Jesus to death.

But he said, "Why, what evil has He done?" Yet they kept shouting all the more, saying, "Crucify Him!"

Now when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this Man's blood; you yourselves shall see."

Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus flogged, he handed Him over to be crucified.

But the rest of them said, "Let us see if Elijah comes to save Him."

But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated to them.

And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.

"I baptized you with water; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

and He said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

But he went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the news around, to such an extent that Jesus could no longer publicly enter a city, but stayed out in unpopulated areas; and they were coming to Him from everywhere.

But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking it over in their hearts,

"But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"—He said to the paralyzed man,

And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and they came and said to Him, "Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?"

"But the days will come when the groom is taken away from them, and then they will fast, on that day.

"And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins."

And He said to them, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?" But they kept silent.

"And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished!

"But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
