For they covered the face of the whole earth so that the land was darkened; and they did eat all the herbs of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained no leaf on the trees neither grass in the field, through al the land of Egypt.

Speak now in the presence of the people that they ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, On the tenth day of this month they shall take to themselves every man a lamb for his own household, and a lamb for his fathers household;

And they shall take some of the blood thereof and sprinkle it on the two door posts and on the lintel and on the houses wherein they shall eat it.

And they shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, with unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

And the children of Israel went away and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron; so did they.

And the Egyptians urged the people, that they might get them out of the land of Egypt in haste; for they said, We shall all die.

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver and jewels of gold and clothing;

And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent to them whatever they asked. And thus they stripped the Egyptians.

And they baked on a griddle unleavened bread of the dough which they had brought forth out of the land of Egypt, for it was not leavened: because the Egyptians drove them out. and they could not make it into flat loaves, neither had they prepared for themselves any provisions for the journey.

Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Sanctify to me every first-born that opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of men and of animals; for they are mine.

land it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest the people be afraid when they see war, and return to Egypt:

And they journeyed from Succoth and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; so that they might travel by day and by night;

Speak to the children of Israel that they turn back and encamp by the inlet of Kheritha, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; opposite it shall you encamp by the sea.

And the LORD said to Moses, I will harden Pharaohs heart, and he will pursue them; and I will triumph over Pharaoh, and over all his army; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so.

And it was told the king of Egypt that the people had gone away; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants changed against the people, and they said, What have we done that we have let Israel go from serving us?

And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes and saw the Egyptians marching after them; and they were terribly afraid; and the children of Israel prayed before the LORD.

And they said to Moses, Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt thus with us, and brought us out of Egypt?
