Therefore his slaves said to him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and cherish him; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you counsel, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.

I am going the way of all the earth: be strong therefore, and show yourself a man;

Do therefore according to your wisdom, and don't let his hoar head go down to Sheol in peace.

Now therefore don't hold him innocent, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his hoar head down to Sheol with blood.

Bathsheba therefore went to king Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a throne to be set for the king's mother; and she sat on his right hand.

Now therefore as Yahweh lives, who has established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

The king said moreover to Shimei, You know all the wickedness which your heart is privy to, that you did to David my father: therefore Yahweh shall return your wickedness on your own head.

Give your slave therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this your great people?

Now therefore command that they cut for me cedar-trees out of Lebanon; and my slaves shall be with your slaves; and I will give you wages for your slaves according to all that you shall say: for you know that there is not among us any that knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.

Let your heart therefore be perfect with Yahweh our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

and they shall answer, Because they forsook Yahweh their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshiped them, and served them: therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.

Blessed be Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel: because Yahweh loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.

Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, Since this was done of you, and you haven't kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely rend the kingdom from you, and will give it to your slave.

Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam; but Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.

Your father made our yoke grievous: now therefore you make the grievous service of your father, and his heavy yoke which he put on us, lighter, and we will serve you.

And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient to the mouth of Yahweh: therefore Yahweh has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him, and slain him, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke to him.

therefore, look, I will bring evil on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam [every] one urinating against a wall, whether slave or free in Israel, and will completely sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweeps away dung, until it is all gone.
