We are in deede righteously here: for we receiue things worthy of that we haue done: but this man hath done nothing amisse.

And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Iesus.

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile,

But their wordes seemed vnto them, as a fained thing, neither beleeued they them.

But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him.

But we trusted that it had bene he yt should haue deliuered Israel, and as touching all these things, to day is ye third day, that they were done.

Therefore certaine of them which were with vs, went to the sepulchre, and found it euen so as the women had sayd, but him they saw not.

And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further.

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, & the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.

But they were abashed and afraide, supposing that they had seene a spirit.

And beholde, I doe sende the promes of my Father vpon you: but tary ye in the citie of Hierusalem, vntill ye be endued with power from an hie.

He was not that light, but was sent to beare witnesse of that light.

But as many as receiued him, to them he gaue prerogatiue to be the sonnes of God, euen to them that beleeue in his Name.

Which are borne not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of ye wil of man, but of God.

For the Lawe was giuen by Moses, but grace, and trueth came by Iesus Christ.

Iohn answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there is one among you, whom ye knowe not.

And I knewe him not: but because he should be declared to Israel, therefore am I come, baptizing with water.

And I knewe him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, he saide vnto me, Vpon whom thou shalt see that Spirit come downe, and tary still on him, that is he which baptizeth with the holy Ghost.

Nowe when the gouernour of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knewe not whence it was: but the seruants, which drewe the water, knewe) the gouernour of ye feast called the bridegrome,

And saide vnto him, All men at the beginning set foorth good wine, and when men haue wel drunke, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept backe the good wine vntill nowe.
