Then he said to Thomas, Bring your finger here, and see my hands; and bring your hand and put it into my side; and do not be an unbeliever, but a believer.

But the other disciples came by boat; for they were not very far from land, but about a hundred yards, and they were dragging the net of fishes.

Jesus said to them, Come, break your fast. But not one of the disciples dared to ask him who he was, for they knew he was our Lord.

This word then went out among the brethren, that that disciple would not die. But what Jesus said was not that he would not die; but, If I wish that he should remain until I come back, what difference does that make to you?

And as he ate bread with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father, the one of whom you have heard from me.

For John baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence.

For these men are not drunken as you suppose for behold it is but the third hour of the day. *

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel:

But Simon Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it be right before God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

Now the congregation of the believers were of one soul and of one mind; not one of them spoke of the property he possessed as his own; but everything they had was in common.

BUT a certain man called An-a-ni''as, to gether with his wife named Shapphi''ra, sold his field.

Was it not your own before you sold it? And after it was sold, had you not the sole authority over its price? What made you think to do this thing? You have not only lied to men but to God.
