Therefore, being offspring of God, we should not think that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by man's skill and imagination.

So Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God.

So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching the word of God among the Corinthians.

"This man is persuading the people to worship God in ways contrary to the law," they said.

But as he left, he said, "I will come back to you again if God is willing." And he set sail from Ephesus.

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him in and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

Then Paul went into the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God.

God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul,

testifying to Jews and Greeks alike about repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

For I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole will of God.

Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all who are sanctified.

Paul greeted them and recounted one by one the things God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

When they heard this, they glorified God. Then they said to Paul, "You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law.

"I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but raised in this city. I was educated at the feet of Gamaliel in strict conformity to the law of our fathers. I am just as zealous for God as any of you here today.

Then he said, 'The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear His voice.

Paul looked directly at the Sanhedrin and said, "Brothers, I have conducted myself before God in all good conscience to this day."

Then Paul said to him, "God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit here to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck."

But those standing nearby said, "How dare you insult the high priest of God!"
