And looking up, they *saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was very large.

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed.

And he *said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, the place where they laid Him.

And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment were gripping them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and crying.

And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it.

And they went away and reported it to the others, but they did not believe them either.

Afterward He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen.

And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

and they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.] [And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable preaching of eternal salvation.]

And they were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and righteous requirements of the Lord.

But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.

But when he came out, he was unable to speak to them, and they realized that he had seen a vision in the sanctuary. And he kept making signs to them, and remained mute.

And her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified His great mercy toward her, and they were rejoicing with her.

And it happened that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to call him Zechariah, after the name of his father.

And they said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name."

And they were making signs to his father, as to what he wanted him called.

And he asked for a tablet and wrote as follows, "His name is John." And they all marveled.

And an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.
