Remove your stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of your hand.

Hear my prayer, O Yahweh, and give ear to my cry; Don't hold your peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with you, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.

For innumerable evils have compassed me about; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up; They are more than the hairs of my head; And my heart has failed me.

But I am poor and needy; [Yet] the Lord thinks on me: You are my help and my deliverer; Make no tarrying, O my God.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify to you: I am God, [even] your God.

But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the loving-kindness of God forever and ever.

Attend to me, and answer me: I am restless in my complaint, and moan,

When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.

I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Those that sit in the gate talk of me; And [I am] the song of the drunkards.

And don't hide your face from your slave; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.

Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

But I am poor and sorrowful: Let your salvation, O God, set me up on high.

But I am poor and needy; Hurry to me, O God: You are my help and my deliverer; O Yahweh, make no tarrying.

I am as a wonder to many; But you are my strong refuge.

Yes, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, don't forsake me, Until I have declared your strength to [the next] generation, Your might to every one that is to come.

Nevertheless I am continually with you: You have held my right hand.

I remember God, and am disquieted: I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. Selah.

You hold my eyes watching: I am so troubled that I can't speak.
