Adonai passed before him and proclaimed: "YUD-HEH-VAV-HEH!!! Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh [ Adonai ] is God, merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in grace and truth;

because you are not to bow down to any other god; since Adonai — whose very name is Jealous — is a jealous God.

Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Lord, Adonai , the God of Isra'el.

For I am going to expel nations ahead of you and expand your territory, and no one will even covet your land when you go up to appear before Adonai your God three times a year.

You are to bring the best firstfruits of your land into the house of Adonai your God. "You are not to boil a young goat in its mother's milk."

You are to season every grain offering of yours with salt — do not omit from your grain offering the salt of the covenant with your God, but offer salt with all your offerings.

For I am Adonai your God; therefore, consecrate yourselves and be holy, for I am holy; and do not defile yourselves with any kind of swarming creature that moves along the ground.

"Speak to the people of Isra'el; tell them, ‘I am Adonai your God.

You are to obey my rulings and laws and live accordingly; I am Adonai your God.

"‘You are not to let any of your children be sacrificed to Molekh, thereby profaning the name of your God; I am Adonai .

So keep my charge not to follow any of these abominable customs that others before you have followed and thus defile yourselves by doing them. I am Adonai your God.'" Do not swear by my name falsely, which would be profaning the name of your God; I am Adonai .

But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, so that it will produce even more for you; I am Adonai your God.
