The Lord All-Powerful spoke his word to me, saying,

And the Lord spoke his word to Zechariah again, saying,

They made their hearts as hard as rock and would not listen to the teachings of the Lord All-Powerful. And they would not hear the words he sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets. So the Lord All-Powerful became very angry.

The Lord All-Powerful spoke his word, saying,

Before that time there was no money to hire people or animals. People could not safely come and go because of the enemies; I had turned everyone against his neighbor.

The Lord All-Powerful spoke his word to me again.

This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: "At that time, ten men from different countries will come and take hold of a Judean by his coat. They will say to him, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.'"

I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the horses from Jerusalem. The bows used in war will be broken. The king will talk to the nations about peace. His kingdom will go from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.

Then the Lord will appear above them, and his arrows will shoot like lightning. The Lord God will blow the trumpet, and he will march in the storms of the south.

On that day the Lord their God will save them as if his people were sheep. They will shine in his land like jewels in a crown.

I don't feel sorry anymore for the people of this country," says the Lord . "I will let everyone be under the power of his neighbor and king. They will bring trouble to the country, and I will not save anyone from them."

"How terrible it will be for the useless shepherd who abandoned the flock. A sword will strike his arm and his right eye. His arm will lose all its strength, and his right eye will go blind."

If a person continues to prophesy, his own father and mother, the ones who gave birth to him, will tell him, ‘You have told lies using the Lord 's name, so you must die.' When he prophesies, his own father and mother who gave birth to him will stab him.

Then the Lord will be king over the whole world. At that time there will be only one Lord , and his name will be the only name.

At that time the Lord will cause panic. Everybody will grab his neighbor, and they will attack each other.

Anyone from the nations who does not go to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord All-Powerful, will not have rain fall on his land.

but I hated Esau. I destroyed his mountain country and left his land to the wild dogs of the desert."

The Lord All-Powerful says, "A son honors his father, and a servant honors his master." I am a father, so why don't you honor me? I am a master, so why don't you respect me? You priests do not respect me. "But you ask, ‘How have we shown you disrespect?'

"The person who cheats will be cursed. He has a male animal in his flock and promises to offer it, but then he offers to the Lord an animal that has something wrong with it. I am a great king," says the Lord All-Powerful, "and I am feared by all the nations.

God made husbands and wives to become one body and one spirit for his purpose—so they would have children who are true to God. So be careful, and do not break your promise to the wife you married when you were young.
