Then I solemnly witness before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, He being about to judge the living and dead at His appearance and His kingdom:

Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

on hope of eternal life which the God who does not lie promised before the eternal times,

but revealed in its own times in a proclamation of His Word, with which I was entrusted by the command of our Savior God;

to Titus, a true child according to our common faith: Grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

(for the overseer must be blameless as a steward of God), not self-pleasing, not prone to anger, not given to wine, not a quarreler, not greedy of ill gain;

They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him , being abominable and disobedient, and worthless to every good work.

discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, so that the Word of God may not be blasphemed,

not stealing, but showing all good faith, that they may adorn the doctrine of our Savior God in all things.

For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,

looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,

Faithful is the Word, and concerning these things I desire you strongly to affirm that the ones believing God should take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always making mention of you in my prayers,

In many ways and in various ways of old, God spoke to the fathers in the prophets;

And again, when He brought the First-born into the world, He said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." MT-No Equiv

but as to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom;

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beside Your fellows." Psa. 45:6, 7

God bearing witness with them by both miraculous signs and wonders, and by various works of power, even by distribution of the Holy Spirit, according to His will.
