For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, [fn] rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. [fn]

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, [fn] as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which [fn] is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
