A Song of Ascents. O Jehovah, remember David with all his afflictions;

we will enter into His tabernacles; we will worship at His footstool.

Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but His crown shall flourish upon him.

It is like the precious oil on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron's beard, going down to the mouth of his garments;

praise Jehovah! For Jehovah is good! Sing praises to His name, for it is delightful.

For Jehovah has chosen Jacob to Himself, Israel for His special treasure.

He causes the vapors to rise from the end of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings the wind out of His storehouses;

who sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, on Pharaoh and on all his servants;

And He gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to His people Israel.

For Jehovah will judge His people; and He will have pity on His servants.

O give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

O give thanks to the God of gods; for His mercy endures forever.

O give thanks to the Lord of lords; for His mercy endures forever;

to Him who alone does great wonders; for His mercy endures forever;

to Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever;

to Him who spread the earth on the waters; for His mercy endures forever;
