The Son of man came, eating and drinking, and they said, Behold, a glutton and a wine-bibber, and a friend of publicans and sinners. And yet wisdom is justified by its works.

Or, have you not read in the book of law, that the priests in the temple disregard the sabbath, and yet are blameless?

And yet you do not let him do anything for his father or mother.

Jesus moved away from thence, and came to the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and he entered into a house, and did not want any one to know about him. And yet he could not hide himself.

But Jesus knew it and said to them, What are you thinking, because you have no bread? Do you not even yet know, and do you not understand? Is your heart still hard?

You have eyes, and yet do you not see? You have ears, and yet do you not hear? And do you not remember?

He said to them, How is it then that even yet you cannot understand?

They said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and yet others, One of the prophets.
