Who is this Who comes from Edom, with dark red clothing from Bozrah? Who is this One Who is beautiful in His clothing, walking in the greatness of His strength? "It is I, Who speaks what is right and good, powerful to save."

Why is Your clothing red? Why is Your clothing like his who crushes the grapes?

I will tell of the loving-kindness of the Lord, and praise Him for all He has done. I will tell of all the Lord has given us, the great goodness He has shown to the family of Israel and given to them because of His loving-pity and His great loving-kindness.

He suffered with them in all their troubles, and the angel of the Lord saved them. In His loving-kindness He paid the price and made them free. He lifted them up and carried them all the days of long ago.

But they turned against Him and made His Holy Spirit have sorrow. So He turned Himself and hated them, and fought against them.

Then His people remembered the days long ago, the days of Moses. Where is He Who brought them through the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He Who put His Holy Spirit among them?

Where is He Who caused His great arm to be at the right hand of Moses? Where is He Who divided the waters in front of them to make for Himself a name that lasts forever.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who shake in fear at His word: "Your brothers who hate you and have nothing to do with you because of Me have said, ‘Let the Lord be honored, that we may see your joy.' But they will be put to shame.

I will comfort you as one is comforted by his mother. And you will be comforted in Jerusalem."

When you see this, your heart will be glad. Your bones will get new strength like the new grass. And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants. But He will be angry with those who hate Him.

For see, the Lord will come in fire. His war-wagons will be like a very strong wind. And He will show His anger with fire.

The Lord will punish by fire and by His sword on all flesh. And those killed by the Lord will be many.

The Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah in the days of Josiah, the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his rule.

Then the Lord put out His hand and touched my mouth, and said to me, "See, I have put My words in your mouth.

For, see, I am calling all the families of the nations of the north," says the Lord. "And they will come. Then every one will set up his throne at the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls around it, and against all the cities of Judah.

Israel was holy to the Lord, the first-fruits of His gathering. All who ate of it (Israel) were guilty, and trouble came upon them," says the Lord.'"

The young lions have made noise against him. They have made a loud noise. And they have made his land a waste. His cities have been destroyed, and have no people.

you say, ‘I am not guilty. For sure He has turned His anger away from me.' See, I will punish you because you say, ‘I have not sinned.'

God says, "If a husband divorces his wife and she leaves him and marries another man, should he return to her again? Would not the land be made unclean? But you are like a sinful woman with many lovers, yet would you return to Me?" says the Lord.

A lion has gone up from his secret place. A destroyer of nations has begun to move. He has gone out from his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will be destroyed and no people will live in them.
