that Jehovah not see and it be evil in His eyes, and He turn away His anger from him.

Do not say, I will do to him as he has done to me; I will repay each according to his work.

Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne is established in righteousness.

Like the cold of snow in harvest time, so is a faithful messenger to those sending him, for he refreshes the soul of his masters.

A man who gives false witness against his neighbor is a maul, and a sword and a sharp arrow.

for you shall heap coals of fire on his head, and Jehovah shall reward you.

A man to whom there is no control to his spirit is like a broken down city without a wall.

Answer not a fool according to his foolishness, lest you become like him, even you.

Answer a fool according to his foolishness, that he not be wise in his own eyes.

He that sends a message by a fool's hand cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.

As a dog that returns to his own vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness.

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

As the door turns on its hinge, so is the lazy one on his bed.

The lazy one buries his hand in the dish; he is weary to bring it back to his mouth.

The lazy one is wiser in his own eyes than seven that return a wise answer.

One passing by, crossing himself over strife that is not his own, is like one who grabs a dog's ears.
