For we do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves, but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding.

and also Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be a comfort to me.

For they themselves report about us what kind of an entrance we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,

While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman who is pregnant, and they will never escape.

and with all the deception of unrighteousness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

And for this reason God sends upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,

Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that working with quietness, they eat their own bread.

But she will be saved through the bearing of children, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with self-restraint.

And these men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach.

but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
