Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth: In the age when all things are renewed, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.

And after agreeing with the workers for the standard wage, he sent them into his vineyard.

When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the workers and give the pay starting with the last hired until the first.'

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Which of the two did his father's will?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, tax collectors and prostitutes will go ahead of you into the kingdom of God!

When the harvest time was near, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his portion of the crop.

But the tenants seized his slaves, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.'

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and get his inheritance!'

They said to him, "He will utterly destroy those evil men! Then he will lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his portion at the harvest."

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

"The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

He sent his slaves to summon those who had been invited to the banquet, but they would not come.

But they were indifferent and went away, one to his farm, another to his business.

The rest seized his slaves, insolently mistreated them, and killed them.

The king was furious! He sent his soldiers, and they put those murderers to death and set their city on fire.

Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but the ones who had been invited were not worthy.

Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!'
