Again it says, Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people!

Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord; also his mother—and mine.

Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

God is faithful; you were called by him into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

so that no one may boast in his presence.

For who knows a person’s thoughts except his spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles—a man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

hand that one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

God raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.

Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.

But because sexual immorality is so common, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman should have sexual relations with her own husband.

A husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise a wife to her husband.

A wife does not have the right over her own body, but her husband does. In the same way, a husband does not have the right over his own body, but his wife does.

I wish that all people were as I am. But each has his own gift from God, one person has this gift, another has that.

But if she does leave, she must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband—and a husband is not to divorce his wife.

Let each one live his life in the situation the Lord assigned when God called him. This is what I command in all the churches.

Was anyone already circumcised when he was called? He should not undo his circumcision. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? He should not get circumcised.

But the married man is concerned about the things of the world—how he may please his wife—

and his interests are divided. The unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the married woman is concerned about the things of the world—how she may please her husband.
