And it happened when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, He left there to teach and to proclaim in their cities.

But hearing in the prison of the works of Christ, sending two of his disciples,

Then He began to reproach the cities in which most of His powerful acts had occurred, for they did not repent.

At that time on the sabbath, Jesus went through the grain fields. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.

He will not strive nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

"And the nations will hope in His name." Isa. 42:1-4

And if Satan throws out Satan, he was divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Or how is anyone able to enter the house of the strong one and plunder his goods, if he does not first bind the strong one; and then he will plunder his house?

But while He was yet speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him.

And stretching out His hand to His disciples, He said, Behold, My mother and My brothers.

And in his sowing, some fell by the roadside, and the birds came and ate them.

Everyone hearing the Word of the kingdom, and not understanding, then the evil one comes and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the roadside.

He put before them another parable, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is compared to a man sowing good seed in his fields.

He put another parable before them, saying: The kingdom of Heaven is compared to a grain of mustard, which taking, a man sowed in his field;

Then sending away the crowds, Jesus came into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.

The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses, and those who practice lawlessness.

And He said to them, Because of this, every scribe schooled to the kingdom of Heaven is like a man, a master of a house, who puts forth out of his treasure new and old.

And coming into His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Where did this One get this wisdom, and the powerful works?

Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

And are not His sisters all with us? From where then did this One get all these things?
