And having called to him each one of the debtors of his lord, he said to the first, How much do you owe my lord?

Everyone putting away his wife, and marrying another, commits adultery. And everyone marrying her who has been put away from a husband commits adultery.

And there was a certain poor one named Lazarus who had been laid at his doorway, having been ulcerated,

and longing to be filled from the crumbs that were falling from the table of the rich one. But coming, even the dogs licked his sores.

And being in torments in hell, lifting up his eyes, he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom.

And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame.

It is profitable for him if a millstone turned by an ass is put around his neck, and he be thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

And it happened in His going to Jerusalem even He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.

For as the lightning lighting up out of one part under heaven to one part under heaven shines, so also will the Son of Man be in His day.

In that day, he who will be on the housetop, let him not go down to take his goods from the house. And likewise, he in the field, let him not return to the things behind.

Whoever seeks to save his life, he will lose it. And whoever will lose it, he will preserve it.

and will God not at all execute the avengement of His elect, those crying to Him day and night, also having been long-suffering over them?

And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner!

I say to you, This one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

And calling ten of his slaves, he gave to them ten minas and said to them, Trade until I come.

But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, We do not desire this one to reign over us.

And watching carefully, they sent spies, pretending themselves to be righteous, in order that they might seize upon a word of His, so as to deliver Him to the power and to the authority of the governor.

And they were not able to lay hold of His speech before the people. And marveling at His answer, they were silent.

saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If anyone's brother dies having a wife, and this one should die childless, that his brother should take the wife and raise up seed to his brother. Deut. 25:5
