"Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you kill the early preachers and throw stones on those sent to you. How many times I wanted to gather your children around me, as a bird gathers her young under her wings, but you would not let Me.

"If any man comes to Me and does not have much more love for Me than for his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be My follower.

Then the rich man said that this sinful boss had been wise to plan for himself for the days ahead. For the people of the world are wiser in their day than the children of light.

People took their little children to Jesus so He could put His hand on them. When His followers saw it, they spoke sharp words to the people.

Jesus called the followers to Him and said, "Let the little children come to Me. Do not try to stop them. The holy nation of God is made up of ones like these.

Jesus said to them, "For sure, I tell you, anyone who has left his house or parents or brothers or wife or children because of the holy nation of God

They will destroy you and your children with you. There will not be one stone on another. It is because you did not know when God visited you."

"Teacher, Moses wrote to us in the Law, ‘If a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, then his brother must marry her. He should have children for his brother who died.'

There were seven brothers. The first had a wife but died without children.

The second brother took her for his wife. He died without children.

The third brother took her for his wife. In the same way all seven took her for a wife. They all died without children.

They cannot die anymore. They are as the angels and are sons of God. They are children who have been raised from the dead.

Jesus turned to them and said, "Daughters of Jerusalem do not cry for Me. Cry for yourselves and your children.

Listen! The days are coming when they will say, ‘Those who have never had children are happy. Those whose bodies have never given birth are happy. Those who have never fed babies are happy.'

He gave the right and the power to become children of God to those who received Him. He gave this to those who put their trust in His name.

These children of God were not born of blood and of flesh and of man's desires, but they were born of God.

Are You greater than our early father Jacob? He gave us the well. He and his children and his cattle drank from it."

They said to Jesus, "We are children of Abraham. We have never been servants to anyone. What do you mean when You say, ‘You will be free'?"

"I know that you are the children of Abraham. But you want to kill Me because My Word is not in your hearts.

They said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said, "If you were children of Abraham, you would do what he did.
