At one time you lived in darkness. Now you are living in the light that comes from the Lord. Live as children who have the light of the Lord in them.

Children, as Christians, obey your parents. This is the right thing to do.

Fathers, do not be too hard on your children so they will become angry. Teach them in their growing years with Christian teaching.

In that way, you can prove yourselves to be without blame. You are God's children and no one can talk against you, even in a sin-loving and sin-sick world. You are to shine as lights among the sinful people of this world.

Children, obey your parents in everything. The Lord is pleased when you do.

Fathers, do not be so hard on your children that they will give up trying to do what is right.

Instead, we were gentle when we came to you. We were like a mother caring for her children.

As a father helps his children, you know how we wanted to help you and give you comfort. We told you with strong words

For you are children of the light and of the day. We are not of darkness or of night.

But women will be saved through the giving of birth to children if they keep on in faith and live loving and holy lives.

He should be a good leader in his own home. His children must obey and respect him.

Church helpers must have only one wife. They must lead their home well and their children must obey them.

If a woman whose husband has died has children or grandchildren, they are the ones to care for her. In that way, they can pay back to their parents the kindness that has been shown to them. God is pleased when this is done.

I think it is best for younger women whose husbands have died to get married. They should have children and care for their own homes. Then no one can speak against them.

People will love themselves and money. They will have pride and tell of all the things they have done. They will speak against God. Children and young people will not obey their parents. People will not be thankful and they will not be holy.

Their lives must be so that no one can talk against them. They must have only one wife. Their children must be Christians and known to be good. They must obey their parents. They must not be wild.

Older women are to teach the young women to love their husbands and children.

And again He says, "I will put My trust in God." At another time He said, "Here I am with the children God gave Me."

He said, "I will make you happy in so many ways. For sure, I will give you many children."

Because Sarah had faith, she was able to have a child long after she was past the age to have children. She had faith to believe that God would do what He promised.
