"For the one desiring to love life, and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, even his lips not to speak guile.

but according as you share the sufferings of Christ, rejoice; so that you may rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His glory.

Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .

As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full knowledge of the One calling us through glory and virtue,

For the one in whom these things are not present is blind, being shortsighted, taking on forgetfulness of the cleansing of his sins in time past.

For that righteous one living among them day after day, in seeing and in hearing, his righteous soul was tormented with their lawless deeds.

but had reproof of his own transgression, the dumb ass speaking in a man's voice held back the madness of the prophet.

But the word of the true proverb has happened to them: "The dog turning to his own vomit;" also, the washed sow to wallowing in mud. Prov. 26:11

and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For from which time the fathers fell asleep, all things remain so from the beginning of creation.

But according to His promise, we look for "new heavens and a new earth," in which righteousness dwells. Isa. 65:17

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unsettled pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commands.

The one saying, I have known Him, and not keeping His commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that one.

But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.

The one claiming to be in the light, and hating his brother, is in the darkness until now.

The one loving his brother rests in the light, and no offense is in him.
