Then through Him let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God always, that is, the fruit of the lips, confessing to His name.

perfect you in every good work, in order to do His will, doing in you that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

he is a double-souled man, not dependable in all his ways.

But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up;

and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass.

For the sun rose with the hot wind and dried up the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also the rich one will fade away in his ways. Isa. 40:6, 7

But each one is tempted by his own lusts, being drawn out and being seduced by them .

Having purposed, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, for us to be a certain firstfruit of His creatures.

Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror;

But the one looking into the perfect Law of liberty, and continuing in it , this one not having become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his doing.

If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain.

Was not our father Abraham justified by works offering up his son Isaac on the altar? Gen. 22:9

You see that faith worked with his works; and out of the works the faith was made perfected.

Who is wise and knowing among you? Let him show his works by his good behavior, in meekness of wisdom.

know that the one turning a sinner from the error of his way will save the soul from death, and will hide a multitude of sins.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He according to His great mercy having regenerated us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darknessinto His marvelous light; LXX-Ex.23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

For you were called to this, for even Christ suffered on our behalf, leaving behind an example for us, that you should follow His steps;

"who did not sin, nor was guile found in His mouth;" Isa. 53:9

who "Himself carried up in His body our sins" onto the tree; that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness, of whom "by His wound you were healed."
