In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get out, and go from here: for Herod wants to kill you.

Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a prophet perishes out of Jerusalem.

For everyone that exalts himself shall be humbled; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

and you shall be blessed; because they don't have [the means] to recompense you: for you shall be recompensed in the resurrection of the just.

and he sent forth his slave at supper time to say to those that were bidden, Come; for [all] things are now ready.

For I say to you, that none of those men that were bidden shall taste of my supper.

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has [the means] to complete it?

It is fit neither for the land nor for the dunghill: [men] cast it out. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.

And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the $100 piece which I had lost.

for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

but when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed for him the fatted calf.

But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive [again]; and [was] lost, and is found.

And he called him, and said to him, What is this that I hear of you? render the account of your stewardship; for you can no longer be steward.

And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.

No household slave can serve as a slave to two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to one, and despise the other. You can't serve as a slave to God and mammon.

And he said to them, You are those that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is disgusting in the sight of God.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.

for I have five brothers; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
