"But Jeshurun grew fat and would not obey. You became fat and full of food. Then he turned away from God Who made him. He hated the Rock of His saving power.

They gave gifts to demons who were not God, to gods they have not known, new gods who came later, whom your fathers did not fear.

You did not think of the Rock Who gave you birth. You forgot the God Who gave you birth.

They have made Me jealous with what is not God. They have made Me angry with their false gods. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people. I will make them angry with a foolish nation.

See now that it is I. I am He. There is no god except Me. It is I Who kills and gives life. I hurt, and I heal. And there is no one who can take from My hand.

Moses the man of God prayed before his death that good would come to the people of Israel.

About Levi he said, "Let Your Thummim and Your Urim belong to Your man of God. You proved him at Massah, and at the waters of Meribah.

They will call the people to the mountain. There they will give gifts that are right with God. For they will take out the riches of the seas and the hidden riches of the sand."

"There is none like the God of Jeshurun. He comes through the heavens to help you, through the sky in His great power.

The God Who lives forever is your safe place. His arms are always under you. He drove away from in front of you those who hate you, and said, ‘Destroy!'

There has never been another man who speaks for God in Israel like Moses. The Lord knew him face to face.

Have I not told you? Be strong and have strength of heart! Do not be afraid or lose faith. For the Lord your God is with you anywhere you go."

"Go among the tents and tell the people, ‘Gather together the things you will need. For within three days you will cross this Jordan to go in to take the land the Lord your God is giving you for your own.'"

"Remember what the Lord's servant Moses told you, saying, ‘The Lord your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.'

until the Lord gives your brothers rest, as He has given you. Help them until they own the land the Lord your God is giving them. Then you will return to your own land. You will own what the Lord's servant Moses gave you on the east side of the Jordan."

We will obey you in all things just as we obeyed Moses. Only may the Lord your God be with you as He was with Moses.

When we heard it, our hearts became weak. No man had strength of heart any more because of you. For the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below.

They told the people, "When you see the special box of the agreement of the Lord your God with the religious leaders carrying it, leave your places and follow it.

Then Joshua said to the people of Israel, "Come here. Listen to the words of the Lord your God."

And Joshua said, "You will know that the living God is among you because He will be sure to drive away from in front of you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite and the Jebusite.
