Let me, I pray, cross over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon.'

Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes to the west and north and south and east, and see it with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

But command Joshua and strengthen him and encourage him, for he shall go across at the head of this people, and he will cause them to inherit the land which you will see.'

"See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as Yahweh my God commanded me, that you should do thus in the land where you are entering to possess it.

"So keep your souls very carefully, since you did not see any form on the day Yahweh spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire,

and lest you lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which Yahweh your God has apportioned for all the peoples under the whole heaven.

And there you will serve gods, the work of man's hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

Out of the heavens He caused you to hear His voice to discipline you; and on earth He caused you to see His great fire, and you heard His words from the midst of the fire.

"See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse:

"Beware, lest you offer your burnt offerings in every cultic place you see,

This is according to all that you asked of Yahweh your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of Yahweh my God; let me not see this great fire anymore, or I will die.'

"If you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.

and they shall answer and say, ‘Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it.

and see among the captives a beautiful woman and set your affection on her and would take her as a wife for yourself,

"You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep straying away and ignore them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother.

You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down on the way and ignore them; you shall certainly help him to raise them up.

Since Yahweh your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to give your enemies over to you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you, or He will turn away from you.

So all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of Yahweh, and they will be afraid of you.

And you shall be driven mad by the sight of what your eyes see.

In the morning you shall say, ‘Would that it were evening!' And at evening you shall say, ‘Would that it were morning!' because of the dread of your heart which you dread, and because of the sight of your eyes which you will see.
