And Solomon the son of David made himself strong over his kingdom, and Jehovah his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.

But David had brought up the ark of God from Kirjath-jearim, when David made ready for it, for he had stretched out a tent for it in Jerusalem;

In that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, Ask what I shall give to you.

And Solomon said to God, You have acted with great kindness with my father David, and have made me king in his place.

Now, O Jehovah God, Your Word with my father David is confirmed, for You have made me to reign over a people as many as the dust of the earth.

And God said to Solomon, Because this has been in your heart, that you have not asked riches, treasures, and honor, and the life of those who hate you, and also have not asked many days, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself thatyou may judge My people, over whom I have made you reign;

behold, I am building a house to the name of Jehovah my God, to dedicate to Him, to burn incense of sweet spices before Him, and for the continual Bread of Arrangement, and for burnt offerings morningand evening, on the sabbath, and on thenew moons, and at the set feasts of Jehovah our God. This shall be upon Israel forever.

And the house which I am building shall be great, for our God is greater than all gods.

And Hiram said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who has made the heavens and the earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, knowing discretion and understanding, who will builda house for Jehovah, and a house for hiskingdom.

And these are the foundations Solomon laid , to build the house of God: the length by cubits according to the ancient measure, sixty cubits; and the breadth twenty cubits.

And Hiram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Hiram finished the work that he was to make for King Solomon in the house of God:

And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, and the golden altar, and the tables on which the Bread of the Presence rested ;

And all the work that Solomon made for the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the dedicated things of his father David, and the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he had put among the treasures of the house of God.

so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud; for the glory of Jehovah had filled the house of God.

And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who has spoken with His mouth to my father David, and with His hands has fulfilled it, saying,

And it was in the heart of my father to build a house for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.

And Jehovah has lifted up His Word that He spoke, for I have risen up in the place of my father David, and sit on the throne of Israel, as Jehovah spoke. And I have built the house for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel.

And said, O Jehovah, God of Israel, there is no God like You in the heavens and in the earth, keeping covenant and mercy with Your servants, who walk before You with all their hearts;

And now, O Jehovah the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David, my father, that which You spoke to him, saying, There shall not be cut off to you a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel. Only, if your sons watch their way towalk in My Law, as you have walked before Me.

And now, O Jehovah the God of Israel, let Your Word be verified, which you spoke to Your servant David.
