Now it happened at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do;

so now, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity, but according to the lovingkindness that I have shown you, you shall show me and the land in which you have sojourned."

And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of Yahweh, the Everlasting God.

Now it happened after these things, that God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."

So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey and took two of his young men with him and Isaac his son; and he split wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.

And Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." So the two of them walked on together.

Then they came to the place of which God had told him; and Abraham built the altar there and arranged the wood and bound his son Isaac and put him on the altar, on top of the wood.

And He said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the boy, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only one, from Me."

and I will make you swear by Yahweh, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live,

Yahweh, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my kin, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, ‘To your seed I will give this land,' He will send His angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from there.

And he said, "O Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please cause this to happen before me today, and show lovingkindness to my master Abraham.

And he said, "Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His lovingkindness and His truth toward my master; as for me, Yahweh has guided me in the way to the house of my master's brothers."

"So I came today to the spring and said, ‘O Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, if now You will make my journey on which I go successful;

And I bowed low and worshiped Yahweh; and I blessed Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who had guided me in the true way to take the daughter of my master's relative for his son.

Now it happened after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac lived by Beer-lahai-roi.

And Yahweh appeared to him that night and said,"I am the God of your father Abraham;Do not fear, for I am with you.I will bless you and multiply your seed,For the sake of My servant Abraham."

Then Isaac said to his son, "How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?" And he said, "Because Yahweh your God caused it to happen to me."

Now may God give you of the dew of heaven,And of the fatness of the earth,And an abundance of grain and new wine;

May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and multiply you, that you may become an assembly of peoples.

May He also give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and to your seed with you, that you may possess the land of your sojournings, which God gave to Abraham."
