but from the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God said, ‘You shall not eat from it, and you shall not touch it, lest you die.'"

Then they heard the sound of Yahweh God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Yahweh God in the midst of the trees of the garden.

Yahweh God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?"

Then Yahweh God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

And Yahweh God said to the serpent,"Because you have done this,Cursed are you more than any of the cattle,And more than every beast of the field;On your belly you will go,And dust you will eatAll the days of your life;

Then Yahweh God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and He clothed them.

Then Yahweh God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us to know good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever"—

therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.

Then Adam knew his wife again; and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, for she said, "God has set for me another seed in place of Abel, for Cain killed him."

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.

Then Enoch walked with God 300 years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.

Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were good in appearance; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among those in his generations; Noah walked with God.

Now the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did.
