They told him that Jesus from NazarethJesus the Nazarene; the Gk. Nazoraios may be a word play between Heb. netser, meaning branch (see Isaiah 11:1), and the name">[fn] was coming by.

"What do you want me to do for you?" HeHe">[fn] said, "Lord, I want to see again!"

Immediately the manhe">[fn] could see again and began to follow Jesus,him">[fn] glorifying God. All the people saw this and gave praise to God.Luke 5:26; Acts 4:21; 11:18;">[xr]

He was trying to see who Jesus was, but he couldn't do so because of the crowd. (He was short in height.)

So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus,him">[fn] who was going to pass that way.

"When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then understand that its devastation is near.Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14;">[xr]
