You shall prepare for yourself the way, and divide the borders of your land, which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, into three parts, that every manslayer may flee there.

Therefore I command you, saying, You shall set apart three cities for yourself.

if you shall keep all [of] this commandment to do it, which I command you this day, to love Yahweh your God, and to walk ever in his ways; then you shall add three more cities for yourself, besides these three:

that innocent blood shall not be shed in the midst of your land, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, and so blood will be on you.

But if any man hates his neighbor, and lies in wait for him, and rises up against him, and smites him mortally so that he dies, and he flees into one of these cities;

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be established.

And your eyes shall not pity; life [shall go] for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

When you go forth to battle against your enemies, and see horses, and chariots, [and] a people more than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

for Yahweh your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

but the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, you shall take for a prey to yourself; and you shall eat the spoil of your enemies, which Yahweh your God has given you.

But of the cities of these peoples, that Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes;

When you shall besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy the trees thereof by wielding an ax against them; for you may eat of them, and you shall not cut them down; for is the tree of the field man, that it should be besieged of you?

Only the trees of which you know that they are not trees for food, you shall destroy and cut them down; and you shall build bulwarks against the city that makes war with you, until it falls.

And the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near; for Yahweh your God has chosen them to minister to him, and to bless in the name of Yahweh; and according to their word shall every controversy and every stroke be.

And it shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall let her go where she will; but you shall not sell her at all for money, you shall not deal with her as a slave, because you have humbled her.

but he shall acknowledge the first-born, the son of the hated, by giving him a double portion of all that he has; for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the first-born is his.

his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he that is hanged is accursed of God; that you do not defile your land which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.

A woman shall not wear that which pertains to a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment; for whoever does these things is disgusting to Yahweh your God.

When you build a new house, then you shall make a battlement for your roof, that you do not bring blood on your house, if any man falls from there.

but to the damsel you shall do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man rises against his neighbor, and slays him, even so is this matter;
