Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?

to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cleave to him; for he is your life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Be strong and of good courage, don't fear, nor be afraid of them: for Yahweh your God, it is he that goes with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.

And Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of good courage: for you shall bring this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.

And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they shall have wrought, in that they have turned to other gods.

Now therefore you write this song for yourselves, and you teach it to the sons of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the sons of Israel.

For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxed fat; then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles come on them, that this song shall testify before them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they frame this day, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.

And he [Yahweh] gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of good courage; for you shall bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore to them: and I will be with you.

Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.

For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: look, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against Yahweh; and how much more after my death?

For I know that after my death you will completely corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

For I will proclaim the name of Yahweh: Ascribe greatness to our God.

The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are justice: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.

For Yahweh's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye.

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.

For a fire is kindled in my anger, And burns to the lowest Sheol, And devours the earth with its increase, And sets on fire the foundations of the mountains.

For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.

For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
