These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogie, but they were not found: therefore were they as polluted, put from the priesthood. And the Tirshatha said vnto them, that they should not eate of the most holy things, till there stood vp a priest with Urim & with Thummim. The whole Congregation together, was fourtie and two thousand, three hundred and threescore: Beside their seruants and their maids, of whom there were seuen thousand, three hundred thirtie and seuen: and there were among them two hundred singing men, and singing women.
