And the Lord said to him: Go thy way: for this man is to me a vessel of election, to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

God sent the word to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all).

Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fear God: to you the word of this salvation is sent.

This same God hath fulfilled to our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second psalm also is written: Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee.

And the days being expired, departing we went forward, they all bringing us on our way, with their wives and children, till we were out of the city. And we kneeled down on the shore: and we prayed.

Now they have heard of thee that thou teachest those Jews, who are among the Gentiles to depart from Moses: saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, nor walk according to the custom.

Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God.

Who are Israelites: to whom belongeth the adoption as of children and the glory and the testament and the giving of the law and the service of God and the promises:

Neither are all they that are the seed of Abraham, children: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That is to say, not they that are the children of the flesh are the children of God: but they that are the children of the promise are accounted for the seed.

For when the children were not yet born, nor had done any good or evil (that the purpose of God according to election might stand):

And Isaias cried out concerning Israel: If the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.

I write not these things to confound you: but I admonish you as my dearest children.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the believing wife: and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the believing husband. Otherwise your children should be unclean: but now they are holy.

Brethren, do not become children in sense. But in malice be children: and in sense be perfect.

Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious (so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance), which is made void:

And not as Moses put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look on the face of that which is made void.

But having the same recompense (I speak as to my children): be you also enlarged.

Behold now the third time I am ready to come to you and I will not be burthensome unto you. For I seek not the things that are yours, but you. For neither ought the children to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

Know ye, therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
