He lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, "Who are these with you?" He said, "The children whom God has graciously given your servant."

Ya`akov said, "Please, no, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present at my hand, because I have seen your face, as one sees the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

Please take the gift that I brought to you; because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough." He urged him, and he took it.

God said to Ya`akov, "Arise, go up to Beit-El, and live there. Make there an altar to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esav your brother."

Let us arise, and go up to Beit-El. I will make there an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went."

They journeyed: and a terror of God was on the cities that were round about them, and they didn't pursue the sons of Ya`akov.

He built an altar there, and called the place El-Beit-El; because there God was revealed to him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

God appeared to Ya`akov again, when he came from Paddan-Aram, and blessed him.

God said to him, "Your name is Ya`akov. Your name shall not be Ya`akov any more, but your name will be Yisra'el." He named him Yisra'el.

God said to him, "I am El Shaddai. Be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations will be from you, and kings will come out of your loins.

God went up from him in the place where he spoke with him.

Ya`akov called the name of the place where God spoke with him "Beit-El."

He isn't greater in this house than I, neither has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"

They said to him, "We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it." Yosef said to them, "Don't interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me."

Yosef answered Par`oh, saying, "It isn't in me: God will give Par`oh an answer of shalom."

Yosef said to Par`oh, "The dream of Par`oh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Par`oh.

That is the thing which I spoke to Par`oh. What God is about to do he has shown to Par`oh.

The dream was doubled to Par`oh, because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Par`oh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the spirit of God?"

Par`oh said to Yosef, "Because God has shown you all of this, there is none so discreet and wise as you.
