As smoke is blown away,so you blow them away.As wax melts before the fire,so the wicked are destroyed before God.

You ascended to the heights, taking away captives;you received gifts from people,even from the rebellious,so that the Lord God might dwell there.

so that your foot may wade in bloodand your dogs’ tongues may have their sharefrom the enemies.”

But as for me, God’s presence is my good.I have made the Lord God my refuge,so I can tell about all you do.

So I say, “I am grievedthat the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

so that a future generation—children yet to be born—might know.They were to rise and tell their children

so that they might put their confidence in Godand not forget God’s works,but keep his commands.

Restore us, God;make your face shine on us,so that we may be saved.

So I gave them over to their stubborn heartsto follow their own plans.

so pursue them with your tempestand terrify them with your storm.

His salvation is very near those who fear him,so that glory may dwell in our land.

So I swore in my anger,“They will not enter my rest.”

so that they might declarethe name of the Lord in Zionand his praise in Jerusalem,

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,so great is his faithful lovetoward those who fear him.

As far as the east is from the west,so far has he removedour transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.

so that I may enjoy the prosperityof your chosen ones,rejoice in the joy of your nation,and boast about your heritage.

So he said he would have destroyed them—if Moses his chosen onehad not stood before him in the breachto turn his wrath away from destroying them.
